Frank Bolte

Frank Bolte was born in 1970 in Germany. He has a long background in martial arts. He started with Karate and Judo as a teenager before getting into Chinese martial arts. In 1984, he started to study traditional kungfu under Sifu Shi Shun Fok. The style was a mix of southern Chinese kungfu systems. In the late 80's, Sifu Shi started to invite modern Wushu players. One of them was Fang Ping from the Zheijiang wushu team. He stayed for one year in Germnany to teach. Frank always kept the contact with Fang Ping after he returned to China. |
In 1991, Frank went to China and trained with the Zheijiang wushu team for 3 months. Another wushu player from China who came to Germany was Li Yan Long which later became the coach of the German wushu team in which Frank was a member for a while.
In the early 90's, Frank have completed several tournaments and have won many titles. Among them, he won the Grand Champion title in the 1991 Dacascos All European Championships.
